Frequently Asked Questions

Questions & answers

Straightforward answers about video production, commercial photography, and practical marketing support for UK SMEs.

What video production services do you offer?

We handle the full process from concept and scripting through filming, editing, motion graphics, and final cut. The work is shaped around your audience, message, and the channels where the finished video needs to perform.

Do you offer commercial photography as well as video?

Yes. We photograph products, people and teams, premises, lifestyle moments, and campaign stills, using the same planning and visual direction as the video work.

Can we get video and photography in one shoot?

Yes, where the brief and schedule make it practical. One shoot means one setup, a more efficient use of your team’s time, and a stronger set of video and still assets for your campaigns.

Do you provide the stills and video as one package, and can we reuse them?

Yes. We can plan a combined shoot and deliver campaign-ready video cuts, edited stills, and exports for the channels you use. Your project includes a licence to use the final assets across your website, social channels, campaigns and ads, with no ongoing licence fees. Garvey Visuals retains the copyright in the work we create, which means we can keep licensing it to you for the uses agreed in your project.

What does Garvey Visuals do, and who do you work with?

Garvey helps ambitious UK SMEs communicate their value clearly through video production, commercial photography, and campaign content. We work with founders, marketing decision-makers, and growth teams who want practical creative support tied to commercial goals.

How long does a project take, from first call to final footage?

It depends on the number of assets, the approvals involved, and how much filming or post-production the brief needs. A focused project can often move from first call to final footage in around two to six weeks, while larger campaigns take longer.

What happens on a shoot day, and how much of our team’s time do you need?

We plan the schedule so the right people are needed for the right moments rather than keeping everyone on set all day. Most clients provide a short window for interviews, demonstrations, or team shots, with Garvey managing the filming and direction.

Where do you film?

We work UK-wide from our base in Staffordshire and Shropshire. We can travel for shoots elsewhere in the UK, with travel and logistics scoped clearly as part of the project.

What do we actually receive at the end?

You receive the agreed edited films, shorter social cuts, stills, and exports in the aspect ratios each channel needs, such as widescreen, square, and vertical. We can also organise source files and supporting assets where that is part of the brief.

Can you shape the footage for our social channels and ads?

Yes. We can create vertical cuts, subtitled versions, shorter edits, and campaign-ready exports for the platforms and placements you are using.

How do we use the footage, and can we reuse it?

Your project includes a licence to use the final edited assets across your website, social channels, campaigns and ads, with no ongoing licence fees. Garvey Visuals retains the copyright in the work we create, which means we can keep licensing it to you for the uses agreed in your project.

How much does video production or a photography shoot cost?

Pricing depends on the creative scope, shoot time, locations, people involved, and the number of final assets. We scope projects around the commercial need and provide a clear proposal, so you are paying for useful deliverables rather than a vague day rate.

How do we get started?

Start with a no-obligation discovery call and tell us what you need the content to achieve. We will ask the useful questions, outline the most sensible route, and be straightforward about whether we are the right fit.

Is Garvey Visuals a large agency or consultancy?

Garvey Visuals is an early-stage, self-funded business with a lean, direct team. You work with the people doing the work, with clear communication and focused delivery rather than layers of account management.
